Late Night with Johhny P

So once again this HipHop mission leads me to the Shaolin Isle>>Formerly known as Staten Island>>To do a tapping for the Johnny P show..Actually i got the invite from Johnny P himself after he heard my song "FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO SAVE CONEY ISLAND" on my myspace page.So after a few weeks of preparation and countless blunts later,Me & Writehook arrive out in Staten Island,and upon waitin for a ride,I step off the curb and twist my ankle.>Bad'....and all while on the way to the show, was not a good thing.
I literally took tape from the studios first aid kit,and wrapped my ankle in the bathroom,and stuck about 4 or 5 pieces of ice down into my sock,just to stop the swelling,the pain "..well that was a whole nother story'..But the show must go on,We still killed it,live with the studio audience,hopin on 1 leg,,and I got invited up to do a quick interview to plug the album and to give Nyc a little Save Coney Island awareness.I never had to block out pain ,i usually relax and enjoy it, but "when the lights go on ,its time to shine".there was no room for agony..>>So tune in & Stay tuned in !! Industry Shakedown Radio

Now this was the show i was waiting for!! It's been a hot minute since I've been on stage with my crewmates..I mean my dudes jump on stage when they in the crowd no doubt, but on this night Me , Bigz & Precise all got to rock on stage together!!
If anyone in Sputniks didnt know who the 5MH crew was ..they know now..!!!
First off let me say mostly everyone in the spot was rockin Polo,,Classic Nyc style,,Second,my main man Dj CarlitoRoc from Tck crew was on the wheels of steel tearin it up before the performances,& last but not least 5MH was deep in the spot at least 15 of us plus chicks !! So you know it was poppin,,and with them $5 Brooklyn Lagers goin around,the vibe was gettin dope..!!
The host of the show Dallas Penn never even showed..So it was Solace of Timeless Truth & PayJay who had to take the reins on this 1..Even though their the hosts of the RadioShow..they still had to be on the job..But it was cool,they knew how to handle it,all was well ,,they introduced a few acts and I was already feelin nice, networking in the crowd with cd's..So i couldnt even tell you who rocked before us.>All i know is when we got up there..Everyone before us didnt matter..
So we get the crowd pumped ,

shoutout the rest of the boroughs of course..But by now Im amped,so i set it off with my Joint "It's Brooklyn" and of course the response is dope..everybody in the place is screamin'"It's Bklyn"..

"Hold on,Dj.. cut the music.." "Yo Precise,I told them where Im from in Bk,,why dont you tell them where your from"..Pre looks at the crowd,takes a quick pause ,then sets it off..!!!

Once again we got the crowd feelin it makin noise and shit..the set off was in effect...but when we finished that joint..I introduce my man Bigz..and ask the crowd,.,"whatup yall fuckin with that"??

the crowd response is "Hell Yeah"!!..so Bigz goes into his joint "I Fucks with That" and right from that point the energy from us on stage and the energy from the crowd..went thru the roof..We was goin off..



Mostly the crew was on stage, the girls were takin flicks & shit..,Then Pre went in with his next joint "You & what Army" that kept the Hype at top level,,then i went in with "Cyclone Sabatage"ft.Precise on the hook,produced by BL 5mH..I mean the crowd was really enjoying the show..even more when BL a.k.a. "The Bloody Butcher" handed the Dj a new track..
One that none of us had heard before...

SAVE CONEY ISLAND

So,like i said my next show was gonna be at "Bellhouse",which it was ,but upon arriving there,me & Writehook took a wrong turn and got there so late,that the place was practically empty,,we rocked anyway ,We gave a good performance but do to the lack of a crowd it really went on def ears..But.>>It gave us the green light to do the next "Save Coney " event at SOUTHPAW ,3 days later....that show on the other hand was one of the craziest shows i have ever done..!!!!!!
If you've never been to Coney Island,you've missed a chance to experience a true Brooklyn atmosphere,with rides,games,concerts,bars & grills ,even batting cages..but that has all come to an end...Coney Island has now become a huge construction site due to the greed of corporate america..!!
Thor Equities and its investors are looking to turn Coney Island into a location for high rise condos ,elimating more than half of the amusement space,and totally striping the spirit of Coney Island away,which would not be done without a fight from the people,,,I being 1 of them.!!!!
The "Save Coney Island" benefit show was put together by the lovely LolaStarr,who also runs the "DreamLand RollerRink " on the Boardwalk.It was a great lineup of acts who performed.When we got there Gato Loco was on the stage,followed by a great Burlesque set by Lefty Lucy & Calamity Chang.These girls we're definitely havin a good time on stage..Maybe it was from the free gin & Brooklyn lager,cause i know i had 4 or 5 myself,which for some strange reason gave me the urge to light something up..So me and Writehook had to go blowout the Bano downstairs,we really stunk the whole fuckin basement!!
Walkin back thru the crowd ,everyone could smell the kush coming off of us..A little networking and i come across Miss Cyclone herself ..Angie Pontani,1 of the most beautiful and famous burlesgue performers out of Bklyn..She instantly recognizes me and comes over to show me some love..a kiss & a hug,with a statement on how she loves my music"

,really was a great way to meet her for the 1st time..

Not to mention meetin her sister,,who was a total fox as well..

and after a little more mingling,it was time for us to get our asses back stage and get ready to rock the mic.Upon gettin back stage we're greeted by more half naked burlesque dancers,who apparently have no problem getting dressed and undressed in front of us..
It was already turning out to be a good night..!!
We got introduced by ,"The World Famous Bob" a raunchy yet classy Burlesque girl who got the crowd worked up for us with her sexxxy strip tease,,and her huge tits covered only by small nipple tassels..She introduced us ,and we cameout to a roaring crowd of at least 300 to 400 people..the place was packed shoulder to shoulder,mad flashbulbs goin off ...So i set it off with a "Bklyn make some noise"!!!
The crowd goes into a frenzy!! I say a little something else,(what that was i couldnt tell you ,i was already shitfaced)..Tell the Dj to hit the music,,and we start gettin into it'You gotta fight for your right to save coney, A real landmark but their tryin to make it phoney,Lets ride the cyclone ,kids ride the pony's,So put your hands up and lets all save coney !!!! And thats exactly what everbody did.!!hands go up ..people are screamin ,and by the time i get into the chorus again,,to my surprise half the place was rappin along with me.>It definetley made it easy to give a great performace,the crowd loved it..and at the end of the song i tell the crowd .."let me hear you say ""Fuck you".."FUCK YOU".'SAY "Fuck you".."FUCK YOU"!!!..yeah that goes out to Thor equities..!! It was a good way to end our stage time.
When we got off the stage and walked back out into the crowd we got nothing but love from everybody in there,funny thing was out of all the photographers taking shots off us rockin the mic,I still havent found a picture of us performing there..But when we went down stairs to smoke another 1,we started talking to this dude Steve Deceive,who oddly enough had a video camera on the end of a stick ,talkin' about he got footage of the whole performance.."oh word" you do.? Thats whats up,,i pass him some of the funk,and once he got a couple tokes of that,,he starts rambling about how he got a greenscreen in his crib that he makes videos with.>."no doubt" yall know how i manuever,i setup a video shoot 3 days later with him.>here's some flicks from that power move!!









So it definately went down ,,the next show is a BIG 1 ,Me & my 5mh crewmates will be rockin for Industry Shakedown Radios' 1 year Anniversary party at Sputniks in Bklyn.>

END OF THE WEAK

Yo yo yo ,,once again it's on and poppin ,but this time we came thru to the #1 Spot in Nyc right now,,The mighty mighty mighty Eodub!! End of the Weak ,for those who dont know whats up,and if you dont know you definitely need to get your ass down there on a Sunday Night...
Its was wall to wall packed and the hosts of the show "The 3 Kings",consisting off "Super Zoo","Vice Verses"& "Propayne" started it off right,with the dope freestyle session,goin back & forth 4 bars each,back to back steady,,Its not something easily describable,you really need to get down there and see it for yourself,but i will tell you this,,The show was actually being hosted by a special guest,"Mr Breeze EvaFlowin"..
A Dope Mc and True O.g.like myself..some might know him from the 90's killin mc's in the Blaze battles..and it wasnt long before he jumped into the freestyle cypher and started killin it with the 3 kings,,it was straight Hip Hop at its finest and a Dope way to set off a show..
My boy Optometrist was in the place,and did his thug thizzle ,had the fuckin spot rockin off of one of his joints off the mixtape "Whos your Favorite Mc?"..Yall need to check that out as well,,,Me and Opto got a song on there called "Out of my Head",a fuck you bitch type joint,produced by my boy Treez'..
But Opt def set it up for me to do my thing ,Opt was 5th i was 7th so you know i had to keep up the energy in the club,and it's EOW so you gots to come with your a game..So I set it off with the wild intro off the Wu-Tang "Aint nothing to Fuck with" intrumental..'Amo1 aint nothing to fuck with'!!..Eow aint nothing the fuck with !!!..5mH aint nothing to fuck with!! BreezeEva Flowin aint nothing to fuck with!!! yooooooooo the crowd started goin nutso,everbody screamin it out "Nothing to Fuck With!!!" it was dope and smack right in your face!!
A shoutout to Vinyl Richie for his Birthday ,and he went right in to "Know the Streets" for me..kept the beat right on point, and let the bassline bang thru the speakers..motherfuckers had to take a step back for this 1..It had everybody bobbin their heads, checkin the lyrics and shit..Breez was on the left of me vibin to it hard,,it was perfect for the night and gave them a chance to hear me before I jumped on the stage with the Sleepwalkas...They were doin a set & 1 of the joints was a joint we did together...So when i jumped on stage with K.Gaines & Cyph,,and the beat dropped..it was like a symphony in that motherfucker..!!!
We tore the Stage up, we had that shit down packed ,but low & behold it was our 1st time performing that song outside of recording it..The shit was dope though,the whole show in itself was dope..Sleepwalkas are the truth!!!...I was able to get this Show from Cyph's peoples so, I have to let the footage speak for itself..Our performance is somewhere near the 9 minute mark...


Last but not least shouts to Homeboy Sandman, Prezzure & HG who jumped on the stage and rocked a freestyle session like true Nyc Mc's!!!And kept the vibe right for the rest of the night...So stay tuned and tune in...I'll be at Bellhouse next for a Save Coney Island Event!!!>>.

SAPPHIRES part DEUX

A week later and it's back to Sapphires to rock the mic,
but on this night..HipHop was being hosted by "Da SleepWalkas",a dope 2 man crew consisting of "Cyph & K.Gaines.
These 2 brothers have been an inspiration to my stage show this past year.We actually recorded a song together,produced by "The Skilled Genius"..The same cat who produced my joint "Know The Streets"..We'll actually be performing this song at E.O.W.on March 8th, so i'll keep yall posted on that performance..
The show was already in the mix when me and WriteHook arrived,so we did what most mc's due before a show...We went outside to blaze something..half way into the el, Life Long & Respect Da God,come walking up the block..so we added them to our cypher,,
They we're also performing ,and we we're rockin right after them ,so it was only right that we all get nice before sparkin the mic..!!
It's was all together a good vibe..E Pills' performed as well as Joya Bravo'..But my man "Wordsmith" put in the ill performance to some hardcore Rock track..and let me tell you ,,son had so much fuckin energy,that after he performed he literally passed out on the couch from the adrenaline,I dont know if it was the liquor or the emotion,but it was definitely 1 of his dopest performances....
Conscious came thru with CooleHigh and Tzo from the Black Horde,and they did some new shit i aint never heard..but the track was so dope it had me and Respect uprockin with each other!!!Yall definetly wanna look out for that 1...
Life Long and Respect Da God performed next and did a track off of each others albums plus a crew track..These cats are true mc's,and their stage presence and delivery made it easy for me to go up and do my thing....By now most of yall know how I gets it in.... So I set it off with the banger "Brain Medicine",


....and after a quick break to get some crowd participation...I had the Dj play "Know the Streets",and that shit had everybody in the place nodding their heads to it..Especially this Japanese couple from "Rocksmith" records..they made sure they gave me a business card to contact them......Arigato!!!!

SAPPHIRES

Whats good peoples,this next mic adventure takes us to "Sapphires" for limelight wednesdays,hosted by "Nighttime"..Night actually was in attendance for a show i did at 40c lounge,,and being i turned it out, he definitely wanted my to rock at his spot,,,so thats exactly what i did!!!
The festivities didnt start till dam near 12am ,so by then yall know I had like 4 or 5 drinks in me already.>>>But the place was packed,the booze was flowin' and i was already blunted,due to the news i got on the way to the club....Unfortunately a close friend of mine Justin Alicea, a.k.a.Bern 179 a.k.a Dj Mad River,died of an apparent overdose,a month earlier..!!
I would have never known seein him in january and smokin a spliff with him was the last thing we would ever do together..>it was fucked up that no one,could get at me to give me this news.>>So all i can really say is "REST IN PEACE MAD RIVER",your cd's will always bump thru my speakers,and the tag you took in my room will never get buffed!!!!!!!
It wasnt easy performing that night ,but as an artist i have to put my emotions to the side in order to entertain the crowd..I really didnt want to rock, but I looked at it as an opportunity to perform for my boy,who is now lookin on from above.


A couple acts went on,but I wasnt really paying attention to them...all I know is that i was 5th.Some chick "Joya Bravo" went on before me and I must say she was pretty dope,shorty was rappin ,singin,and playin the violin..!!She worked over the crowd and set them up for me to do my thing....
I set it off with "Know the Streets" which i felt was a good interpretation of how i felt on the sudden passing of my boy,since the last thing we did was blaze,I jumped right in to "Brain Medicine" which was actually the last new song Bern heard of mine...so performing it got me a lil choked up thru the middle of it,i needed a quick breather after it,,so i started talkin to the crowd,,now that i had gotten their attention with the flow and bassline of the song, and my on stage antics...the ladies started payin attention too,,so you know i had to pull out that "Bad Bitch" track...and as always that shit made the club start bouncin', and well i cant do that song without pullin a shorty on stage,,and as soon as i did,the crowd started goin crazy !!!!



It was a dope performance,I'm sure Bern enjoyed it..so shoutoutz to NightTime for puttin me on,and to MaryJane Parker for takin the flicks,,,& once again "Rest in Peace Mad River"...We'll be at the Axis lounge next for Part 2.

SPUTNIKS

So on the night i was born , myself and my peoples bumrushed Sputniks for an open bar celebration of my life..From the time i walked in to the time i left,i had a drink in my hand ,at some point 2 & at another point 2 and 1 waitin on the bar..I was tore up,but I still got on the mic and put on a dope show,,
Dj emmo had a request that i do my joint "It's Brooklyn" so i had to oblige,,I set it off with an acapella,just to test my mic levels,and then went right in with it...All my brooklyn people was in the house ,some even jumpin on stage with me, makin the song even hyper than it already is...


To be honest with everyone reading this,"I really dont remember what else i perform after that,all i know is that once the music for "Bad Bitch " started rockin the club started bouncing!!!!
"So if any of you have seen me perform this song,yall know i always grab a "Bad Bitch" from the crowd and pull her on the stage just to show, how much of a "Bad Bitch" she really is...But on this night,being it was my Bornday"...One of the Baddest Bitches around,Miss Diablo Rosie"(from a double shot of love on Mtv)came thru to show your boy some love and jumped on the stage to do her thing!!!
"Feemales Inc" model,"Jessie G" was in the house with Diablo Rosie ,so i had to drag her on the stage as well..it was definately a great birthday gift grindin with those girls during the song!!!
